Yeah sorry, I did not realize this was going to be such a detailed process of having to take the whole thing out and buy all-new fabric. I also have to obtain a number of tools that I do not own. I drive a 2010 Honda Civic. I think I will pass on this one and just take it somewhere to have it done even if it costs an arm and a leg.
lol! I drive a 2010 Honda civic Ex too 😂 guess it’s their time for the headlining to sag. I’m a broke college student so I’m gonna give this a try. Wish me luck!

Thanks for your feedback 👍👍😁 Our newest video loaded up lastweek turned out very informative too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dCdNZ2WcHM4.html

Two issues...1st issue.. You say to use 3m Hi tack. But you are using a spray gun??. My experience with spray cans is the solvents in the glue tend to evaporate into the air when sprayed, Spray gun glues in which i have used to bond carpet have a higher solvent ratio than spray can glue, allowing for a a better tacking . 2nd issue ..No mention of what to do if you have airbags installed to the pillars.. Airbags could potentially cause severe harm if not disarmed properly. 3rd issue ..When bonding it is best to spray the surface being bonded to, and the under side of the material so when they come together they form a stronger bond than you would get from a single stick.. You're welcome.
We done videos on this channel demonstrating using just glue cans, either 3M High Tac or Permatex, and works great without any issues. We just use a bulk 20lt setup and brand is called TensorGrip. I don't recommend 500ml can glue to do mutiple jobs a day on a consistent basis. We do highly suggest to spray both the headliner board and underneath of fabric, maybe it wasn't explained in this older video you watched. However our newer video explains it all in much more detail here ⬇️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kZ_bICRvh-Y.html
They are a big job, we book them in for a full day, we did load up recently videos showing the full steps however I'd suggest to take it to some one who has done several in the past and can show before and after.
If you re did it with new quality headliner material , you may be able to re add glue. If your dealing with the old orginal headliner fabric which has most likely lost its foam backing, best to chuck that in the bin and start again with freah headlining fabric.
I have a question? the lining was sagging, My car roof got burned, so they did replace the fabric. But now that roof board is also not against the roof. is that normal? and if not, what can be done to fix it?
What type of car, make model is this one you got? Some cars have a headliner board that bows away from the metal frame of the car, but also some can be modified or fixed to prevent the board from bowing.
@@riaschutte1738 the holden commodore 1998 VS also has this issue where the board bows. Seen and explained in this video below ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p_Q6ySOmoK8.html Most of the time this happens to the cardboard style of headliner boards, which bend, break or bow over time. Fix: could involve renoving the board, adding slight water to the back, and brace it up or try bend it back into shape over a few hours. Or just buy anither donor board from the wreckers to suit
If your located in Australia, try shopping at Nolan group or Daley's Upholstery Supplies. We also do sell the fabric in Australia, www.reecesautoheadliningrepairs.com/fabric-sale/ Outside of Australia, I can only suggest online stores like Amazon, Ebay etc. Regards Reece
Odd question: is it ok to use other types of fabric than what you've mentioned? My car is very old and I plan to be it's final owner, it'd be awesome to do something wild and fun
Other fabrics is possible to use, however we suggest not to use leather or vinyl products because of the weight. And keep in mind proper quality headliner grade fabrics are uv resistant and light weight with good stretch making it ideal to use.
