Thank You! Good resources for accordion repair are hard to come by. Excited to start refurbishing a chromatic button accordion i bought recently. Lots of the reeds have fallen out so this video was just perfect for me.
To do this properly and not make problems down the road for yourself , you need to remove all the old wax all the way down to bare wood, and you want to use a lot more wax than was used here. A brush may work for doing a single reed repair , but it will take forever and not give good results if you try to do an entire block.
Good effort but honestly this is painful to watch. You've got wax over the reed tongues and the valves. Look out for "reed waxing with a wax spoon" to see the right tools in use.
