How to Repair D-Pad for Xbox One And Xbox Series Controller 

My D-Pad had been acting up for a while (specifically the down button, sometimes it wouldn't register at all and sometimes it would register multiple times in rapid succession) and i was worried that i would have to buy a new controller as its warranty already expired. So I opened it up and followed this video, and surprisingly, it fixed it! It works as good as new now. I recommend trying this method before buying a new controller, you could save yourself a lot of money and gain some repair experience.

Thank you for this video. The D pad on my Elite controller would not click to the right. When I took it apart I found a small piece of a peanut was keeping it from clicking. 😂

only person i have seen repairing the d-pad the correct way, everyone ells just tensions the retaining clip

I took the d-pad off and didn't realize the length of the button pressers were different. How do you orient the d pad correctly? I'm guessing the shortest one goes on top because it's slightly angled as if for the contour of the controller.

I have a Xbox PowerA controller and my Dpad don’t work at all but everything works fine what can I specifically use to fix the problem?

My problem is the white thing, the down button on the dpad doesn't go back to the original position, what's the name of it to replace it? Thanks

My dpad down isnt 1 tap i have to hold it for it to move down on pages

How do you know if you just have to replace the conductive film?
