All rebars have got rusted so about 40% strength of rebars got reduced. In order to increase the strength, put new rebars secured with fasteners and tie older existing rebars with clamps or binding wire. Cover this with steel lathe mesh then do lathe plaster in CM 1:3 . Operation that should follow:- 1. Clean the surface thoroughly including rust and loose material. 2 wet the surface with water 3. Apply 2 layers of solution of cement and pidicrete URP 4. Put new rebars alternately and secure with old rebars by clamps or binding wire and steel fasteners 5. Fix steel lath mesh by binding wire. 6. Plaster the surface (lathe plaster) in CM 1:4 Finish the surface even and smooth.
Is it justify that old rebar can take load of new rebars? There is possibility of fall down of rebars with mortar due to insufficient bondings of new and old part of slab.
@@pankajchaurasia6272 that's why the old bars were cleaned off rust and corrosion and properly secured with new rebars. Then lathe plaster was also done to increase the bond which makes it equally strong against bond stress.
Just a friendly suggestion. There is no water proofing solution that works. To protect your terrace from leakage cover it with iron sheets. Bit expensive but lifetime safe. I did Berger waterproofing 10years warranty. Within second year leakage started again.
For water proofing work don't competely depend on company workmen. Read instructions provided with the compound and ensure that all the standard operating procedure is adopted. The junction of parapet wall and the top of roof slab must be applied with two extra coats of the solution. The parapet wall should be applied with two coats of solution on top and vertical sides. After completion, carry out a survey to ensure if every portion is completely coated.
Water proofing does not work where there is heavy rain. It is best to cover roof with aluminum or gi sheets. Or you can cover the roof with double layer fibreglass

When we add new reinforcement bar to old one the old has additional burden unless it’s supported by some bracing from wall . Because the ultimately we are increasing the load on old bars . It’s like new flesh with old and born affected with osteoporosis . 😮

Dada jara Engineer se jankari leke kaam kiya karo. Chhat ki takat sariya me hoti hai jo ki aapke yaha 50% se jada Jang ki wajah se kharab Hui hai. Upar se lipa poti karke Sundar to dikh Raha hai par aaapne kamjor ceiling pe aur wajan daal diya hai. Ye jald gir bhi sakti hai. Ise niche se extra steel ka support dekar majbut karna jaruri tha.
Bhai, Root cause pata kariya. Baharse leakage hai. Try stopping the leakage from outside & then attend the interior or else again water will seep in & damage the already rusted bar & the plaster.
First Remove all old plaster totally , and then use rust remover chemical to cleaning reinforcement then do plaster with use of waterproofing chemical , cement ratio must be 1:4 and after that work proper curing minimum 5 days.....
