Regular thread. But of cause you can double it or even go to 4 layers of it - how to do it - in my several other videos - one about how to sew buttons, another one - how to make airlock for sweater. More as 300 videos on channel - you can go on Playlists on home page (by clicking on name of channel under this video) - and them find playlists about "sewing works on sweaters " and "all about buttons " - I believe that's a name for it.
