Hello, love the video thank you. I have a good question that I hope you can answer. I’m replacing the whole rear housing instead of just the glass. The new housing doesn’t have anything what so ever in it. I have to remove EVERYTHING from the old broken housing. I didn’t think i was he I get the whole wireless charging component out. But I did. I have to get all the magnets out to transfer as well. My big question is the gold circle. Do i need to try and get one to go in the new housing? There is absolutely nothing in the new housing. I’ll never order one from that person again.

The wireless charger is split into 2 pieces. The large coil in the center and 2 or 3 tiny wires on the perimeter. Generally I will remove that piece of plastic that those tiny wires sit in and fit that whole flex in as best as I can. As far as the magnets goes I sell a new set of magnets for about $8 if you don’t feel like transferring each of them individually

So in order to replace that flex you have to also replace the nfc?

NFC is built into that flex. When you replace one you replace the all

@@repaironwheels my supplier has the flex separate. I can’t find it complete with the nfc. Do i have to solder the new flex on the old nfc?

So in order to replace just the flex cable and not the wireless charging module, do i need to un solder the cable from the wireless module or how is that attached exactly to the module?

The wireless coil is soldered on. You can either buy just the power/volume flex and transfer the coil over via soldering. Or the easy way: Just buy the part as a unit (power/wireless coil/volume) and replace the whole thing. Soldering is an option but in no way necessary

Hopefully the new flex you ordered is defective as opposed to the board being damaged somehow during the repair

I replaced a iphone 12 volume and power flex with the nfc because the volume and power buttons didnt work. But now somtimes the volume button work and sometimes the volume is going up and down by it self. Can you help?

I generally start with reseating the flex cables and if that doesn’t work try another flex
