This guy is spot on. Goes past the other videos and gives you the possibilities of the difficulties you may have. Unscrewing the charging port to force the battery out. Excellent!!!!!! Thank you!!
I have the exact same problem! My battery is always going from just fully charged to zero in a really short time. Thx for the video I’ll order a battery replacement kit
You made it look so simple, well made tutorial. Mine crackled after the 2nd day on low volume. I just returned it, but now have future knowledge. Thanks
I had this same problem. Followed the instructions in the video precisely and replaced the battery with the one suggested. It works great again now. Thank you!
I tried taking the battery out by pulling it out, no good. So I took out the charging port as you recommended and pushed it out that way. After pushing it out and placing the new battery it wasn't turning on. I knew it couldn't be the new battery because I connected it before I pushed the old one out and it worked perfectly. I did try using oil and a thin knife to soften the adhesive, could that be the reason why it's not working?
so after following your video step by step, the flip 4 doesn't work at all anymore, neither with the old nor the new battery. I've inspected everything and I'm not missing anything. Is there a chance that by pushing out the (extremely) swolen battery, I have damaged some other important part?
My speaker had the exact same issue so I bought the battery off of Amazon and did step by step from this video and it is working perfectly again! Good as new! Thanks!
Bro! Thanks, My battery was super swollen and I had the front of it ripped apart before finding this, I did not realize taking the charging port out was all I needed to do so I could push it. Thanks again!!
great video. got the battery replaced following your instructions and it powered up. unfortunately it won't charge now. any thoughts on how to check/fix that?
Thanks a lot! I have the same exact issue. I just took the battery out but not sure if it so swallen but it was really hard to take out. So I assume so. I will order another one
Definitely gonna do it and clean mine... hope I won't get any troubles.. although I only need the speakers out to clean them... you reckon that the jbl flip 4is still waterproof after 1st tearing apart?
Helo .. i want to repair my JBL flip 4 .. my ON/OFF button is not working anymore suddenly .. for charging it's working n everything is fine only the main switch button .. what will I do now?
Maybe The original one or is the revision version different but instead of 4 screws it have the sides by blocking type... you should round it to take the sides out.
I just did everything successfully, but after putting it all together, the side bumpers don’t seem to stay on snug, like I can still pry them up a little. Did you have this problem?
Mine wont charge to the last bar and randomly will go red and start the crackle only does it randomly and shuts off after it crackles for a bit do you think its the battery?
My battery was so swollen that i had a hard time pushing it out with different tools for half an hour. I had to mess up some flux cable while doing it and my volume, bluetooth, pause buttons are not working now. Which white cable would it be inside?
i had the same problem, the indicator and buttons werent working. So i ordered another one off online. just for the ribbon cable, look for these dimensions "FPC Ribbon Flexible Flat Cable Pitch 0.5mm Length 150mm A-type Same Side Contact 13P FFC WIRE 13 Pin 15cm AWM 20624 80C 60V VW-1"
Hey, i have a similar problem like this one had, when it gets too loud it starts to have cracking noises. I am not sure if it's the battery though, could it be speakers itself?
Any suggestions on why our JBL Flip 4 cuts out unless the phone is hard wired or right next to the speaker? It does this when fully charged and even charging cable connected to the speaker. If you move the phone more than 2ft away, it cuts out terribly.
Hi Jin, how does the side speakers work if its not connected, I am having issues with one speaker, it has a crackling sound, any suggestions on how to fix it?
Hi! i have the same issue, but i tried plugging to the electric socket and the issue persist... do you think it is a battery issue if the noise come also when plugged to the AC? Thanks
hlw jin thao you are so good you solved my problem I'm also having this problem by the way my name is jit I am from India and now I am your new subscriber 🥰😘🥰
Is this a common issue with this device? I will buy the battery and fix it myself. I am tired of spending money to get a new one when I knoe I can repair it.
My speaker does the same but heaps louder and then turns off and doesn’t come back on unless I put it on charge even tho it’s full charge and it won’t make the noice if it’s on charge so it’s sitting on charge 24/7 which sucks
found the same one for 12 bucks at a pawn shop and the guy gave it to me for 10 bucks and the tag claimed as is that it didn't stay charged. I knew it was the battery and I just ordered it. saved myself a good chunk for a very good speaker. I could tell it was abused because it was dirty and was sticky so i wiped it down and washed the grille with some soap and water and now it looks good as new but still some wear but better than nothing.
WTF, brand new and it came with a bad battery?!!!! UNACCEPTABLE. I'M CALL JBL! That said, Jin this video is awesome and thank you for sharing your insight and knowledge.
@@HBV90 oh, ok. I searched JBL company and did the troubleshooting they recommended which was to Press the volume + and Phone icons at the same time to reset to Factory Reset. HOWEVER, that did not work. So I called and got disconnected. I'll try again on Monday. As a consumer who is paying for a quality product I demand a resolution, wish me luck. Thank you for your reply as well. Have a wonderful day! ✌
hey can i have some help my flip 4 has had some water damage and the speakers are making a nose thats like when you have no signal on the radio and the constant nose. also the battery is dead
I did everything u did but even with pulling the port out there is no space to push the battery from the other site because it is filled with something to protect the components. Idk how to get it out, because because of the stupid glue I cant pull it from the battery's site out. Does somebody got a advice for me how to still get it from the batterys site. Ty
My battery died and so I had to replace it. While replacing the battery I nodiced that all plastic is very soft and breaking by itself. It's a shame because JBL is known to be a good brand for such speakers yet after only 2 years of light use the speaker is breaking apart. I assembled it but now I can hear terrible low frequency sound
