I would first make sure that the hose is nice and twist-free before connecting the two... The use of the bag was brilliant! Thanks for the video!

I have a idea, heat shrink tubing. A few over the clamp, one jumbo or two over the whole mess!

Note to fellow workers I tried the silicon tape offered by 3m and others on two separate holes on one of my air hoses today. Both sealed perfectly. It took two attempts to get it to work and it only worked when I had one guy holding the hose taught with the other end in a vice, and then wrapping it with extreme care and stretching it out as hard as I could. I'll let you know if it doesn't withstand the test of time

Even with heat and wetting the fitting, I cannot get it even halfway in. There has to be some other way?

I have repaired the ends on my plastic air hose three times (without heat) and it has blow every time. Sometime in the middle of the night. I will try one more time using heat. I hate to throw it away. It is the kind with all the curls in it so is stores away nice and small. It always splits in the area where I forced it on the fitting. It does take a lot of pressure to get it on. Maybe heat will solve it.
@Baileys.small.engine.repair
How'd it work out?

@@Baileys.small.engine.repair It kept blowing. I think the hose was just too old so I threw it away in the end. THanks

Has anyone tried using a PEX compression fitting? Seems like it would be not so clumpy. I would heat the hose with hot water.

you could have used a heat gun on that plastic bag to mold it into a permanent fixture

I have e same brand, material discolors and pop's within a couple yrs. Don't invest in to many as it won't pay off when having repairs between jobs and I take care of them to. To splice I eather get the double ended ribed fittings or make one with copper pipe, (wks fine) and use wire to tie together. Made a tool for using reg. Wire. Look in utube it takes a little time but there is hardly any obstruction to get cout up on stuff and they will certainly out live the life of the cheep A$$ hose.

Any one have experience with better hose for a reasonable price. This stuff sucks after a few seasons.

Lololol i swear i thought this is an April folks joke Jesus Christ. Get rid of that entire meat hook anortion. You don't need those hose clamps, holds just fine with friction alone up to 150psi. Add a tiny bit of silicone lube to the brass ends and you won't need to heat the ends to get it on, that way the hose will remain tight enough to never come apart. If you doubt my advice, do what i say and see if you can pull it apart without the hose ripping, never use those clamps. Btw it's only for this exact hose, the rubber ones do need clamps. YOU'RE WELCOME
