Thank you sooooo much! Your video was so helpful and I fixed my drain problem. Tried augers, bottle cleaners, white vinegar from inside the washer and nothing worked. Watched some videos, but nothing addressed the problem I had. I'm not handy at all, and I did it! I have to use the washer on my bath tub, so the gravity drain doesn't have a lot of force behind it. Opened up the back panel, and my washer has an accordion like rubber gasket. It was all gummed up and was no longer flexible. Cleaned at up, put the washer back together. Now I have to catch up my laundry!😂
Same haven't been able to use my spin dryer for months. Costway was no help at all. Had me send a video then heard nothing from them again! I Just watched this video as a last resort before giving up and buying a new machine and found a sock of all things lol. Yup happily catching up my laundry 😅 he has a new subscriber lol.
I've been "bailing" my wash water out with a rubber collapsible bucket, then carefully tipping it to the side (I use it in my bathtub) to finish draining it. It stopped draining a few months ago, so I haven't been washing clothes as frequently. After watching this, I'm going to open the back again tonight and check this out. Thanks for walking us through the process! I also have a Bissell ProHeat2X carpet cleaner with a furniture cleaning attachment, so I'll use the wand attachment to suck out any clogs, rather blowing thru the hoses to clear them.
Thanks I had a sock inside the spinner drain Make sure you lift it up and pour all the water out into a tub, shower, bucket (risky but I did spilt a bit of water probably should have just carried outside) or outdoors Nasty smelling water poured out when I opened mine and went all over the floor had to quickly seal it back up than mop up the floods with strong smelling disinfectant as the smell was bad I thought I would have to take it apart to get to the spinner Remember to always use the plastic lid and keep it inside, it stops your underwear or socks getting out the bucket than falling down into the water or drain
Lol I literally just pulled a sock from my spinner drain as well!!! I have no idea how it got there but yeah I also had the nasty foul water shoot out at me lol but I happily cleaned it up 😅 sooo happy to be doing laundry right now and believe me never thought I would ever be saying that lol Yeah I'm so excited telling everyone it seems in here 🤣🤣🤣 I think this will be my last comment before everyone thinks I've lost my mind lol
Just read your comment as mine wasn't draining well. Sure enough, sock in the dryer drain. Thank you for posting this comment. Saved me buying a new one!
You sir are a life saver !! If I could hug you through the phone right now I would ❤ 😅 your video just saved me from buying a new washer!! Been plugged for months called costway and got no where ugh. Did what you showed on your video and found a slipper sock plugging the spinner drain! How it got in there I have no idea. No wonder it wouldn't drain. Dumb thing swelled every time it got wet lol but that smelly thing is out now and in the trash bin where it belongs lol. Again TY TY TY TY. Now my issue seems to be I can't seem get the lid back on tight enough. Water is push out a bit but I will find someone with stronger hands than I have to fix that issue. Hmm now that you've helped me fix the bigger washer. Would you happen to know how to fix an 11lb portable washer that won't wash? Belt seems ok and motor is working but it won't spin to wash, why I bought the one that was just unplugged. Yeah for a few months I had one hooked up to wash the other machine to spin 🤣 what a mess in my tiny apt bathroom. Was quite depressing lol.
You saved my washer this is the second one I was about to throw out do to this problem thank you so much Sir I appreciate you uploading this video and teaching me how to fix it 😊
Of all the videos I watched, none helped the issue my machine had. It just needed blowing of air to bubble up the dirts, all I had to do was tilt backwards and gave it a big blow and now I have my drain working perfectly... 👍🏾
Hello, it's so nice to find the only person on the internet addressing these machines! I have mold built up around the outside of the sinner that I can't reach to clean. I also imagine that there's more mold that I can't see elsewhere. Can you do anything video disassembling the compartments for me cleaning purposes please?
I think my washer is retaining water somewhere because it gotten heavier over time. I took that back panel off but couldn't see anything. Any ideas? I've got it on its side hoping water will drain out somehow.
My spinner stopped working 😩 I’ve opened up and there’s no sign of any slipped belt or anything it seems to be electrical. Working fine one week, not working the next.
were you able to ever figure out what was wrong with it?? i am currently having the same issue with mine, it suddenly stopped spinning but the drainage works fine
5:35 What if the white piece of the drain doesn’t stay up or stay on the drain twitch. I tried cleaning it pulled the spring out and still have the same issue where I have to manually hold the drain switch until it’s done draining
Im not sure about that. Sounds like your spinner motor or switch is bad. If you have to get another one. make sure you get the warranty plan. So you can receive new one.
It’s a sock or garment in the hose and the only way to get to it is the way he showed us but my cap is screwed on so tight it won’t even twist a little bit 😢
Fuminnnng, I've had mine a day and it's not draining.. taking the back apart its pretty identical but the cap and piped are sealed on with what looks like a glue??? HOW TF AM I GONNA CLEAN OR UNCLOG SOMETHING THATS GLUED ON
Check to see if it's plugged. That's what alerted me to mine. It all of a sudden started spinning slow then stopped all together. Rock it a bit and listen for water inside. If so tip water out. If it spins again it's plugged up.
