Thank you for this video. My Sisterlocks consultant who installed my locks was apparently very lazy. She charged me for 11.5" of hair and left 3-4" open throughout. There are also many locks with no locking pattern in random places along the shaft. I plan to report her to the Sisterlocks headquarters. However, this video was very helpful in showing how I can take care of the issue myself without paying a small fortune for another consultant to repair the issue. Thanks for your time!
you're welcome. I am so pleased you found this video helpful. Do let me know if you were able to repair your locs.. I also recently posted another method of closing the ends of your locs so you can check that out on my channel. all the best x
I know I am late replying to this post but I am so glad I bumped into this video, thank u so much I am only 6 weeks old microlocs and experiencing slippage, keep posting updates I am a subbie 🙏
You're welcome and I'm pleased you found it useful. I've just discovered another way of fixing unraveling at the tips and made a video about that too on my channel. Do check it out and let me know what you think x.
So my consultant was in a hurry to finish my hair and did my locks half way to the roots after I paid for the extra length of hair. Half of my hair is not looked. I guess I will have to do this myself. Thanks for the tutorials.
🙏 I've been searching to see if this method had been used successfully. Thanks so much, I will be going back to interlock my twisted portion. It appears to help with the frizz also.
Thank you for sharing this. I need to do this on many of my daughter's locs. I started them with 2-strand twists and many have unraveled from the tip. It'll take time but like you said, you have to be committed to it, and I want hers to progress well so I'll do it.
@@1MischiefRN Thanks for responding to this as I missed it. The first tool is a crochet hook with latch and the white one is a plastic yarn needle which i customised. I have a video on my channel showing how I customized it. I hope you find this helpful.
I like what you did I just finished mine on Thursday 31st if august but I have straight and large S wave pattern. Some of my locs were able to be started from the tip some of them started further up, what I was told and saw a lot of people ends are loss. Do you think I should wait till it older before doing what you did and I would have just used my interlocking tool not that latch hook because it’s way faster and I use the 4 point rotatation.
Hey Deena. Did you just finish your first install? I really can't say much until I get a visual on what you are talking about. In my own case, I self installed my docs 4 months ago and didn't lock it to the tip entirely. That was my error and then I experienced some loosening also as I was applying too much moisture daily... so I decided to repair it after 4 months
