Before you go out and buy leather check if there is any loose fabric near where it is sealed. Chances are if the leather has been stapled to the surface you can snip a bit of the natural leather and avoid having to style and colour-match.
ESPECIALLY AROUND THE TRUNK AREAS AND UNDER THE SEATS ARE GREAT PLACES TO SNAG A PIECE FROMS!.!.! REAL TALKS 💯 PERCENTS STRAIGHT UP'S BRAVO BRAVO'S 👏 👏 👏 👏
It saves you a whole new seat sooo it worth being expensive. This type of repair is known to last longer than oem materials if done right so i see no problem.
@@JayTee95 I saw such work in real live when I have to fix some seats, it's just common work to fix the upholstery, not really special or creative. It's fast and looks great, but it's not worth it if you want keep the car, it's only for shady car dealer who want sale the car after the repair.
These types of repairs last a couple of weeks at the most. The only option for a robust repair is to have the panel replaced by a car upholstery company.
Very impressive repair, 👏 👌. Thank you for sharing your video and skill. This would help those who work in "The Repair Shop" shown on UK BBC and Quest TV Channels 📺.
My father has done upholstery way before I was born like since he was a teenager and I've seen him do some dope ass crazy awesome interiors jobs on exotic cars, boats and limos he even worked on the batmobile no joke and is currently working on the new one that's coming out( I got the proof ) and I've seen him do some patch jobs which some ppl asked cause they couldn't afford getting their seats or whatever reupholstered and as much as he rather not do it. he would always say that he disliked doing them cause it's better to redo the whole thing because with time and wear the patch will become obvious unless it's a collector item that is only for showrooms and strictly display and in this video I like how he started it and ended it.. then I noticed that the seat he was working on wasn't the same patched one he started with. The whole thing is faked .. If you pay close attention to the vinyl/leather material its not the same one he sprayed at the end. Look at the details it's a different seat cause you don't spray the whole fuckin seat on a patched job that be stupid AF might as well pay for a whole reupholstery cause if anyone who know paint jobs on these fabrics (vinyl/leather)they will eventually crack with wear and tear he went as far to put in the holes he made some liquid leather leftover dust to make it look like the same one he fixed after switching out for the final take at the end 😂 this guy is better at editing than faking an upholstery patch fix.. this video is obviously for likes and subs damn attention whores 😂😆😂 some ppls kids 🖕
Better idea: spend the very little amount of money getting a small piece of matching leather from a leather shop if you have one near you and sew it together, it’ll last a lot longer and there wont be a huge risk of ruining your furniture
