Thanks for the video. I had the same problem where I turned the wand a bit too far and it apparently popped the gear up. Step by step instructions definitely helped a novice like me. A piece of my cover cracked off when I opened it, but I was able to flip it around so that it still holds the gear down.

Than you for this video. My plastic blind thing broke where it goes up into the gears. I bought the little part and have now fixed it. Saved 50 dollars.

Note that the Levolor cordless vertical blind head rail uses a different mechanism that doesn't pop off. If the plastic gear/blind holder gets out of sync with the rest of the blinds, you have to push up hard on the device then rotate it to the desired angle (as the others) and snap it down into place (meshing with the drive gear).

Hi! Great Tutorials. I can not pop out the hangar stem. There does not seem to be that open C space on the carrier as on your tutorial. Is there another style or technique?

Same problem here. Every tutorial I find says to "pop out the stem", but mine also do not pop out on the side like that. I can't seem to find any instruction on what to do in this case. Have you had any luck with this?

Be nice if my blinds were that easy. My stems insert from the bottom and I have no idea how to remove them.

Thanks for the video. I thought my problem was with the master gear. But, I removed, took apart, and inspected it and it appears to be fine. I can't rotate the shaft, even using my hand or a pair of pliers. Any ideas what might cause that?

How does the comb go in? Toothed side out, flat side up or down?

Combs go in tooth side up, grooved side facing the opening and the stem gear fits into the grooved side. Comb teeth face up fitting into the center control rod.

Now here I thought "when you don't have parts" *meant* "when you don't have parts." You DO have parts - you have spare stems. I don't. Not very helpful.

+Marcia Purse Sometimes you can take one from one of the ends if if you have enough room. Doesn't always work out but those are the breaks.

+Marcia Purse Sometimes you can take a stem from one of the ends if there's enough room but not always. An easier workaround is linking some of the carrier's together with a small piece of wire I show this in a recent video I did on "Vertical Blinds That Have Fixed End Caps Repair" this won't work for every situation but those are the breaks. Daloki Here is some one that is hard to please. I loved this video as it saved me 50 dollars because I fixed the problem myself. You just can not help some people no matter how hard you try.
