Today I am repairing a leather belt for one of my clients. I am a fan of returning old belts to a useful life. Today I will take you through the steps completed to repair this belt. My client was very happy with the repaired belt.

Good morning Freddie! I do like the ranger belt myself. My Ranger belt was the first belt that I made. It was to repurpose hardware from my favorite belt at the time.

Was wondering myself how you would match that pateena, I was thinking a drop of two of dye in some oil and experimenting. The no glue for future repairs is a great idea.😊

Thanks Randy! Today its use is just a typical belt. Years ago they would have been 3” or 4” wide and used as a gun belt.

I really like this project and the explanation you provided which gives us an insight into your decision making and thought process. The color match came out amazing and the overall build quality of the new billet gives the belt a new, beefier, and quality look. Thanks, Robert. Also, what do you recommend for a replacement glue brush--synthetic bristles, natural bristles, etc.?

Thanks for your comment. If the product is solvent based then natural bristles. If water based then manmade. The brush in my contact adhesive is somewhere around 18 months old. Maybe more.

Thank you, Robert. I also use the standard Weldwood contact adhesive, so the natural bristles would be what I'll go with. I appreciate the additional information.
