I took the three wheel well screws out and unsnapped the bumper cover enough to get my hand in there. About 5 minutes per side to replace on a '12 pilot. No need to remove all of the lower items.
The 2009 to 2011 Pilots are much easier to do -- just remove the plastic bezel from around the front side of the fog light by using a flathead in the tab slots, then using a phillips screwdriver to remove the far 2 screws from the inner sides of the fog light frame, then slide the fog light assembly towards you and let the tabs on the outside edges of the fog light housing slide out from the bumper. Remove the bulb connector and you now have your fog light assembly in your hands to easily change your bulbs. No pulling back the fender liner required on 2009-2011 Pilots.
Jgizzy -redacted- I'm looking at this "conducted" that this poor guy has to go through just to change a fog light/bulb. Why in the bloody hell did Honda do this? I own a 2011 and I don't have to stick a cricket shaft up my bum to replace the fog light. This is insanity!!!
I posted on here about 2 months ago. I just pulled the plastic dam, screws, clips, etc. out to change the bulb on my 2013 Pilot. I found out that the lamp wasn't burned out, just a disconnected coupling. However, it was a real task getting to the bulb housing/connector. In order to do this properly (at least on the 2013), you'll likely have to pull the tire off to have enough room to adequately work on getting to the bulb. Perhaps the 2015 is designed to make it a bit easier to get to the bulb.
Do you know how to remove the front headlamp assembly? I'm trying to change out the low beams and there just isn't enough room to get my hands in there to remove the bulbs. Probably easier to just remove the whole headlamp assembly. Then I can do the turn signals, parking lights and daytime running lights at the same time. Changing over to all LED's. Thanks and great video!
They way I did it i undid the clip then stuck my hand in there and twisted it so much easier than dropping the bumper. Did it about two weeks ago good luck
Hi Mauricio, I'm planning to replace my entire fog light because it cracked. Based in your experience replacing the bulb, do you think it would be difficult for me to screw the fog light from the fender? Or do I have to remove the whole bumper? Thanks for posting this video!
Need to find a video on how to replace the whole fog light itself. Rock busted my 2015 Pilot touring and I’m afraid of the work it’s gonna take to replace. Geez
You have to do all that just to get to the fog lights that's some bol ish they should've just left it in the front where it's easy to get to smh but thanks for the video.
Take out the air intake doesn't help much but for the drivers side you need all the space you can get. Was a pain in the ass for my 2012 pilot. Some people take off the whole bumper but its doable. Good luck
You didn't actually show anything being put in the bulb being taken out of all beening replaced you showed how to take off the vendor shroud and that was all. ☹️👎
It is pretty stupid they went to that type of setup, I have an 09 Pilot, so easy, just pop off the plastic frame, unscrew two screws and the light comes out, simple and done in under 3 minutes! BOOM! Also, Just wanted to add, it would be so much better if you would explain everything instead of playing music with no narration, if your going to the trouble of adding music it would be just as easy and better for the viewer. Just sayin!
True, just wait till you have to change any of the tail lights. I was use to poping the trunk and removing the padding and replacing on the pilot you have to remove the whole housing and even so you can break the lens( mine broke when I replaced the reverse light)
***** Would be nice if it were that simple! But this beats paying a dealership or mechanic over a hundred bucks to do something that you can do yourself in less than a half an hour.
Show video doesn’t show anything about replacing the light . Maybe you should focus more time on the actual video than the music . 5 mins I will never get back
@@fg4gk Yeah, that's fine but the music is a waste, easier just to narrate and explain what your doing rather than just pointing the camera at something and hope everyone understands that means "this is what you have to work on but figure the rest out for yourself"!
