Same here. Triple XXXL glove size at work. 6'5 290lbs. Can palm a basketball. Swapped bulbs into LED's no problem. Steuggled putting dustcaps back on more then anything
Just got this install done. Took about 45 minutes. •High-beam is easy •Low-beam is a very tight spot. If have someone around with small hands, they are definitely going to be of use for that
Great video. Just swapped out my headlights using this method. It was a little tight but it only took me about 30-45 minutes. This works the same for my 2018, but the screw head size is a 5.5mm on that gen.
Unplugging the connection is unnecessary as will be experienced if just installing a replacement bulb as it has to be plugged into the bulb. Also these bulbs don't always come loose easily. I had use a pair of long nose needle nose pliers to get my low beam (upper bulb) out of my brand new 2022 F150 on the passenger side. Great video but I used the Crystal Vision Ultra by Phillips made in Germany Xenon powered halogens for that blue/white look of HID
You would think that removing the whole housing would be easier, until I saw that video. It looks like I will do this pain in the ass upgrade one day when it isn’t 98 degree outside.
I tried doing this but my fender liner is that cardboard paper crap. And I felt like it was going to rip apart. I guess they went realy cheap on the 2021 f150s
if you are talking about the whole headlight you may need an led wire harness adapter if you are talking about the bulbs in this video then yes, this was done on an STX (i also own an STX)
Great video but I can't use it for my 21 F150 that was produced mid year. My head light assemblies and fog lights do not look anything like these. None of my bulbs come out of the rear end of the headlights or the fog lights. There are no wells with rubber dust caps. The only thing that comes out of the back end is the connectors. I bought a set of Lasfits and none are able to be installed. I had the same problem with the tail light back up bulbs.
Absolute and complete nightmare for any adult unless you have some weirdly strong fingers! I truly wonder why the headlight rear area has to be like 5 inches deep, just give a shall round area like they used to and be done.
Im 6'5 290lb with a triple XXL glove size at work. I changed the low, and high beams absolutely no problem. Took me longer to get the dust caps back on then to swap the bulbs. I think you just have incredibly soft / weak fingers / you're a girl
Please people upgrade to Projector Headlights . Some people put LEDs or HIDS in Reflector Headlights causing them to blind people who are driving the opposite direction.
After you do this, have someone in another car drive the opposite way on the road from you at night and make sure youre not blinding the hell out of other folks ...I spend all night on the interstate being blinded by people that have no concern for others on the road
