Welcome to my RU-vid channel. This channel is the home for all your vintage Mid-Year Corvette content.
I just finished restoring a 1963 Corvette Split Window and I am starting another split window build but this time its a race car build. I will be making videos every Friday. I will be making videos on my 1963 Corvette Split Window, my dad's 1965 Corvette, my race car split window build, my friends 1960 Corvette, and other projects that I find along the way. Let me know what you think about the video. Enjoy!!
If you are interested in an official MYM hat or if you have any questions please send me an email to midyearmitch@gmail.com.
Check out my Instagram for some behind the scenes pics of my builds.

Looks awesome, Mitch. I started to re-skin my 68's driver door, but after looking at that compound radius in front of the mirror mount location, I decided that was above my skill level and opted to spend more time working the metal (mine wasn't damaged nearly as badly as yours). Mine turned out very well... I was lucky. I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for posting it!

Thanks Dr Lee. I’ll be honest I really didn’t pay attention to that radius until I had the new door skin. I just went for it lol. Oh nice that’s awesome that yours turned out great. Thanks for watching!

Mitch, I'm a recent subscriber and am really enjoying your videos. They go way beyond just entertainment. They are great for hands-on restorers. Your tips are great and I appreciate you providing the supplier info on things like the door skin hammer and the Eastwood etch. Both are super useful. Thanks again and I will be watching more. You get a BIG thumbs up from me!

Hey there Mitch, I always wondered how door skins were replaced. This is a pretty informative how-to! I have some machinery restoration projects going on so I'll give that Fast Etch a try. There are plenty of rust treatments out there, but I'm looking for something that gives a more zinc-y appearance so I don't have to get stuff re-plated. Thanks for the tip! Take care, Dan

Hey Dan thanks for watching. Oh nice sounds like a good project. The fast etch wont leave like a bluish zinc finish behind but it will keep it from rusting for awhile. It’s pretty nice stuff. Best of luck!

I read alot of your followers comments which are always informative and helpful, alot of good people. One thing that really is cool is that many of us have or still own a 1st generation Camaro. Watching either a Camaro or Sting Ray come back to life is always cool. Your next Sting Ray sounds like it will kick butt, what do you guys have in mind for an engine in the Camaro? Keep doing them both and stay safe.

There is definitely a good community forming here. It’s pretty cool. I enjoy it. I like both Vettes and Camaros. It’s nice to get away from fiberglass now and again lol. We were going to put the misfit engine in it. Buuuuut I want to put it in my 67 Vette for Carlisle this coming year. So I’m not sure what we will run in the Camaro.

@@MidYearMitch Why not try for a Nicky Chevrolet Camaro with a 427.

What works better for that repair is a 55 gallon drum with a tire cut in two on top. Makes it a lot more stable.
