Easiest way I've found to straighten out a bent mast rod: Get a 12" long 4x4 block of wood, and drill a 45 degree angled hole close to one end using a bit the same diameter as the mast. Make the drilled hole about 2 or 3 inches deep, and the opening should be facing the center of the block, creating an acute "V" angle. Then just insert your bent mast threaded end into the hole, stopping where it's bent. Then just use the leverage you've created with the angle to push down, and torque the bend out. The wood block with grab your mast firmly, but not damage your threading, keeping the function like new when you go to re-attach. You can even keep the wood block inside your hull or truck for emergencies, as it's pretty compact! 🤘
