A booster pump supplies high pressure water to a pressure side pool cleaner to optimize cleaner efficiency and performance. The pump is not self-priming and should only be used when the pool pump is on. Running the booster pump without the pool pump will damage it. This video will show you how to replace a booster pump.

What kind of silicone do you use on the quick disconnect threads? Can I use Teflon tape?

i hv two valve. one is for pool return, spa return, and inlet. another valve for pool suction, spa suction, and inlet. do i put both valve on pool suction and pool return and turn on the booster pump?

Nice video. However, it is not clear where to install the hot wires coming from the breaker/time clock. Most videos I've watched state to install the hot wires to #1 and #2. I did this, however, when I turned the booster pump on, the breaker trips.

Though we do not mention it in the video, there is a wiring diagram on the side of the motor. Are you sure your motor is set to the voltage you are applying? - MGS

You sped up your video during the wiring portions 😕 that’s the part most people need to see what you’re doing.

Unless you change the circuit's voltage, the motor will be wired in the same orientation as the original. Take pictures of the terminal connections before removing them during the installation. This can ensure you have a guideline on where the wires go. The main motor label usually has a wiring diagram you can follow during the installation.
