How to replace a brake light bulb for Astra H Mk5 2004-2009 (left side)

Thanks. Had done it before, but needed a refresh before doing it again. A couple of things I would add: Try to avoid dropping those white thumbscrews, as they could end up dropping down inside the chassis, which might be where your missing one is. If replacing both sides at one time, test both the new bulbs in the side you disassembled first, that way if you get a bad bulb, at least you haven't wasted time taking the other side apart. At 3:45, that round rubber seal has a flange that has to be pulled through the hole in the plastic, so make sure it is through before putting the thumbscrews back on, but after you have aligned the screw posts and the other two plastic lugs through the holes in the chassis. I had the seal through and it popped out again because I didn't have the holes lined up. This rubber seal was the most difficult part of the job. This whole procedure is a poor design, probably to make you go to a dealership for a bulb swap. I've had cars in the past where the flap in the boot opens and you can pull the bulbs out from inside without any of this carry on.

So my left brake light works with sidelights on but when pressing on the brake it doesnt work.... can anyone help? It's a single filament bulb
