YOU ROCK, BRO! Yours was the only glacier shower video that had my same cartridge! For a year and a half I've been showering with this damn thing in reverse and it turns out that the moron landlord put the cartridge in upside down...😡😡 BTW - IT IS NOT JUST ONE WAY - IT WILL GO IN BOTH WAYS! Just seeing yours upside down from mine was enough to see there was a difference and that mine was actually the one that was upside down! 😂

How can I increase the water pressure if the outside valve is all the way open?

Hello thanks for watching my videos! If the cut off valves on each side of the valve are all the way open, and the pressure is still low that means that you have a problem with the main pressure valve right after the meter.

For RP70538 cartridge, is the check value assembly RP73625 needed? We had that with ours, but we don’t have circles for shower valve rough in depth, the shape actual matches the end of the cartridge so I’m wondering what it’s for.

thanks for the video. mine just looks like yours. i replaced my cartridge like you did pushing it straight. but i did not tighten it with the tool. i tightened it with my hand. then when i test it by turn on the water, i could not turn off water using the cartridge. my guess is that i did not tighten the cartridge with the tool. what do you think?

hey thanks for watching my videos! Without watching the valve it's kind 'a hard to give you a correct answer, however where is the water coming from? what do you mean you could not turn off the water using the cartridge? It sounds to me like if the cartridge is not installed properly

@@TIPSFORDUMMIES thanks for your response. I am glad to find your video because Mine is exactly like yours. The water is coming from the valve when I use a flat head to turn it counter clockwise. After the turn on the water, when I turn the cartridge, nothing happened and I can easily turn the top of the cartridge with my hand. In your video, after you put the metal cap on to secure the cartridge, you used the tool to make sure it is tight. I feel like that is the step I didn’t do compared to your video. So that is why I am guessing if it matters if I didn’t tighten it

Yes definitely you have to tighten the hub with a the tool, this hub pushes the cartridge against the rubber gaskets and prevents for water leaks. try to thighten the hub with some ceannelock. let me know.

I replaced my cartridge but I still have a slight drip out of the faucet. Why is that?

Thanks for watching my videos! It can be several things including that the store gave you the wrong cartridge, but before you go to the store for returns, I would remove the cartridge again and make sure the sits (this is where the gasket make contact on the back) is completely clean and not damage, then I would add water valve grease to all the gaskets, this will ensure a proper seal just in case the gaskets are hard do to cold. If this don't solve your problem, chances are that you may have to replace the whole component. Thanks for watching my videos and please don't forget to subscribe.
