Got this exact machine , struggled for ages before finding this. New front clamp is slightly bigger than the old one with a longer spring. Thanks for the video
Thank you so much my Bush washer dryer is slightly different but this video got me in the ball park and saved me a lots of money.. my husband was very impressed as he was prepared to buy a new one. Thank you again
I owe you a pint or 3. The step by step guide really really helped as our machine which is almost identical but branded as ProAction. The only part that I got really stuck on was putting the retaining spring back on the front seal. It had to have two of us really struggling with a pair of needlenose pliers to get it back on. I have no idea how you did it in the video on your own. Thanks again!
Thanks boss, just got mine fixed. On the last part of attaching the spring, try using a pair of gloves and absolutely tonnes of washing up liquid, started from the top, Try to hold it in place with both hands working round and keeping wire flush, the end part might get tight but as long as your keeping it flush it shouldn't be too hard. Lots of fairy!!
My washing machine wasn't draining properly, and I accidentally pulled the door seal out. Followed your advice to refit seal and removed 'a sock' from the tube near the filter underneath while doing so. I tilt my hat to you, saved me waiting for a call out and and paying for one. Cheers thanks very much 👍
Just helped me fix the seal of my machine. Didn't fit a new one just reset the old one back to where it should be and fix the retaining spring. Washing machine isn't old so hopefully this will buy me more time as taking the whole front end off I couldn't do. So thank you
Thank you for this excellent video. In case it helps anyone, this also works perfectly for replacing an Electra W1449CF2W door seal because it is the same washing machine with a slightly different front panel but identical on the inside.
Thank you. I have an almost identical AEG L81400, in Canada, which is also a rebadged Vestel machine. Helpful description of how to open-up the front panel.
Just want to say thanks. Followed this to the letter and managed to complete the repair in just under an hour and a half on my Bush machine. These types of videos don't get the credit they deserve, really clear. Cheers 🍺
You saved me from buying a new washing machine.. 👍. But the way, anyone who finds it difficult to put the seal on. Always start from the bottom and then slowly to the top..
My 4 month old door seal got damaged right that the bottom, emptied a full load of water onto the kitchen floor 😖 I was dreading changing the seal until I found your video, it’s given me 100% faith in myself to have a go at it, I’ve ordered a new one off eBay for £23, hope it’s ok 🤞 Thanks for taking time to make the video, great work mate 🤝
Just wanted to feedback, with your video playing on the shelf I successfully fitted the new door seal, I did a few rewinds but got there in not too bad time 😂 And what a top tip with the washing up liquid, no way would you succeed without it👍 And that spring seal 🤦♂️ Anyone reading this, follow the video and save yourself quite a few quid, great tuition and top rated!!
Whenever I fit one of these, I whip out the four coach screws holding on the concrete ring on and take the ring off. It makes getting your fingers around the seal to fit the lip around the drum and putting on the clamping ring much quicker and easier.
Very helpful video👍. if i had made one it would have to be rated 18. Those bl****y springs & yep i tried it without washing liquid to start with. Many thanks
Great how to vid Phil, really informative, even a novice bodger like me could do that. How do you change the belt if you can’t open the back? I think a how to vid would be in order.
The front panel slides up. Don't forget to first move the dispenser out of the way. There are 3 of those locating pins each side, and it's kinda tricky to disengage them all at once!
