Hello, greetings from Mexico. Please help me 🙏 this canister include 2 little rubbers 😔 and I don't know where they are located. Can you help me please, thank you so much!
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 2 года назад
Thanks for the question, depending on which rubber seals you are referring to, they could be on the pump head exhaust tube which takes water from the canister (after sealed). These are simple o-rings. Or you could be referring to rubber gromets which cover each trays tube at the top creating a seal. All of these parts are available for replacement purchase from marineland should you need to get new ones. Does that help you out any?

Thank you very much for the kindness of your attention, with your video and your advice I achieved it. 😊 Just one more question, can this Marineland filter be on for 24 hours?
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 2 года назад
@@acuariosconlafamilia5693 Yes! the filters are designed to run 24 hours a day with proper maintenance. Keep in mind everything fails at some point mechanically. They sell replacement parts. My first C-160 lasted about 7 years before I had to get a new one. Hope that helps.

Mine is leaking out the sides under the clips... I can't figure out what to do. I tried replacing the o ring and the water proof silicone. Still leaking! and its not around the big O ring I don't think. It's coming out of the overflow

Sorry to hear you are having issues! Could be the valve assembly o- rings. Or the manual pump. If you just bought it recently I would return it, otherwise replace the other o-rings and try to figure out where the water is coming out of. Make sure the locking lever and twist lock are in place properly. All else fails replace the entire pump head or entire canister. Hope that helps.

The bubbles from the airstones sometimes will cause that rattle sound. I would check to be sure that is not the issue before replacement of the entire filter. Unless you have money to 🔥. Eheim media pro is looking like the way to go. Great video. How have the Fluval heaters been working for you?
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 4 года назад
Thanks for the comment and thanks for dropping by! Definitely not the airstones. The filter pump head in fact went on that older unit. I got my money's worth it lasted about 6 years continuous operation so money well spent. The Fluval water heaters are fantastic. The first one lasted about 6 years as well and still works a bit but I have now replaced it with a new one. I may do a future video on them as they are a great product and well worth the money.

Hi is it possible to get longer parts for those black plastic tubes??? I'm wanting to get this for my turtle tank granted I don't use as much water I use 20 gallons of water that is approximately in a large tank all the water is only 7 inches high. Turtles are very dirty there for wanting a better filter!

Thanks for the comment. Not sure which tubes you are referring to exactly? If you are referring to the intake stem from below the waterline then yes you can buy a whole replacement kit but you do have to buy the whole kit. You do get new ones when you buy a new filter as well

I just got the oldwer verion(the left one) as a hand-me-down from my dad. Whats the difference between the newer one and the old one? I cant find anything about it online. Thanks!

Hi thanks for the question! If you watch the whole video i discuss areas where there are differences between the two. Mostly just improvements to the design and handling to make things easier to maintain. I have another video showing the older one as well, they both work great when properly used. Hope that helps!

Great video..I love my marineland products I have 2 marineland magniflow 220 canister filter on my 55 gallon jack Dempsey tank & a marineland emperor 400 bio wheel filter. I did everything marineland on this tank from media to glass tops, & heaters, it is just easier for me to get everything I need from Amazon & marineland direct. Now on my 60 gallon bowfront & my 75 gallon tanks I have eheim pro 4+ 600 I did all eheim products on these two tank. Great & awesome products , but it can really dig in your pockets. marineland cost less & for me it's a great affordable products.

Lower the intake line???? That's the water coming back into the tank your speaking of, correct???? I'm confused I open my waterlines and nothing happens. It wont prim on its own???? Ughhhhh
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 4 года назад
Hi sherry! It's been awhile since I did this video, one of lines is an intake from the tank, the other other hose sends clean filtered water from the canister back to the tank. If you connected the hoses to the valve assembly correctly and prime using the manual pump you should eventually get primed before turning on the pump. Keep in mind.. filling the filter with "left over or tank water" to bring the level most of way up in the canister before priming really helps and is what I do. Priming from empty takes forever. Also consider keeping the return line above water line in tank to get rid of air from canister while priming then drop return nosel attach to return line back into the tank below waterline for quiet operation in the tank. Hope that helps you?

@@KarrGalaxyStudios oh thank you so very much for the response. Yes that makes sence now. The person I got them from had drilled a tiny hole in the intake line?? and it was above the water level in my tank. I'm confused why he did that but he used them in a salt water tank setup and that's what worked for him, I'm guessing
@sherryP-rv3vg

Is that hole....maybe part of the manufacturer design to help get rid of air in the lines? I'm so confused about the holes and this is my first experience with this brand. Anyhow it took us all evening to figure out we couldnt get a prime due to the holes. Appreciate your help💗

Where did the other two gaskets go ???
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 6 лет назад
Sorry.. which gaskets are you referring to? the tray gaskets or the pump head gasket?
@andrewrush2017
@andrewrush2017 6 лет назад
I’m assuming they are tray gaskets they are two small one the size of a quarter
@KarrGalaxyStudios
@KarrGalaxyStudios 6 лет назад
There are o-ring gaskets near the top of the spout of the bottom tray that used to be on the older bottom tray. That one is gone/not in the new design. That bottom tray is the biggest change. I ended up reusing the botom tray however in the new pump. There are also tray gasket seals between trays on the older ones.. they are also gone in the new design. I'm guessing they aren't needed. I've been running the new system without those upper tray seals and flow is fine and no issues. Hope that helps you!
