How to Replace a Hardwired Smoke Detector 

A very quick and easy project for anyone looking to replace an old smoke detector. For those new to home DIY, smoke detectors are sold as either battery powered or hard wired with battery back up. In this video I will show how to replace a hard wired smoke detector and briefly discuss how to install a battery powered one. This project is very simple and is basically the same as changing a light fixture, light switch or outlet.
