This video tutorial provides instruction on how to replace a rear drive axle on a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. ATV. This video demonstrates how to replace a CV boot on a four-wheeler axle shaft. I cover the process of removing a CV joint boot band so that it can be reused. The CV boot replacement process shown in this video will be the same or similar on many other 4-wheelers, ATV, and UTVs. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suziki, Cam-Am, Polaris ATVs have similar CV joins and boots. The axle replacement process will be very much the same on most ATVs. The process of replacing a torn CV boot is the same job as replacing a CV axle but the cost of a CV is must less than a half shaft with CV joints and boots pre-installed.
