Great video showing how to remove the side buttons and to lubricate the button seals to prevent leaking. I had replaced my watch battery but the watch would go blank if submersed in water prior to removing and lubricating all 5 buttons.
so glad it help, as you found out many of the grommets dry out over time so the lubrication helps to make them watertight again. My God, is that the world's smallest powered screwdriver? Man, it's 3 AM, can't sleep, figured I'd try to fix GF's old HRM for something to do, got stuck on the plastic flap bit, thought no way in hell someone would have this description as brilliantly as you've laid out.
