This is fairly simple and in most cases requires no tools at all to do. Clock motors are fairly inexpensive normally under $20 for a quality motor. We use motors made in the USA which have proven to out perform the foreign motors in our experience. Clock motors are also know as clock movements. Larger clocks that have heavier hands require a High Torque Motor. A standard movement will stop working due to the added stress on the small gears inside the movement and the battery will need more frequent replacing because the gearing was not designed for the added weight of the larger hands.
