Great instruction! I am a 67 year old gal that will be taking this on. Not my first repair by any means but this video shows exactly what to do! A to B, B to C, C to D. That’s all you need to know! Thanks!
On the way home today I noticed my belt was squeaking. I got home and looked under the hood and steam was coming out of the water pump. Watched your video. An hour later. I'm done. Took it for a test drive filled it back up. Thanks. The shop up the street quoted me $875. '03 ram 1500 water pump replacement. Screw all that noise. Thank bud!!!
Thank you so much for making this video! The instructions were easy to follow, and helped me change the water pump on my 2013 Ram in about 3 hours. The truck isn't overheating anymore, and I saved alot of expense from a trip to the mechanic. You rock!
My 03 started sounding like a spun bearing. Then over heat.. so i looked under the hood and noticed the whole engine bay was soaked. Turned off the motor, and heard steam pressure ... Looked at the water pump area, and seen it smoke and dump liquid... Im no mechanic, but am mechanically inclined, so i figured yourube! Dound your vid, perfect! To the point, straight forward, fairly easy... Thanks bro! Saved me $1000 on a shop to do it!!!! Under 100 and done...
this was a pretty good refresher i’m replacing the WP on my 04 ram tomorrow. i’d say one particular thing about the 4.7s is that the “proper” way to bleed them is to take out that plug on the block end of the upper radiator hose
Great video!! Thanks for taking the time to make and post it. It saved me a few hours of fumbling around trying to get it replaced. I fully expected to take out the radiator to get at it.
Thanks a lot for the video…. Really appreciate the time spending to make the video and post it here. I am going to fix my 2002 Dodge Ram.you save a couple 100
Thank for the bare bones video just what I needed i find a big help is to put the bolts as I pull them into the corresponding holes in the new piece it also helps when searching for all the bolts to remove for first timers this is the second pump I've put in this truck just needed a refresher what tools to get ready also when filling the system it helps when burping the system to remove the plug in the hose housing to let air escape thanks again great video
Learned how to use those wrenches .. never new about the pilot holes, was gonna use a big crescent wrench and something to hold the pulley ...vise grips or ...... good video right to the point
