You don't know how much I appreciated this video! I found out my husband replaced our filters all wrong ( mixed up top two filters and also wrong direction of flow UGH!!) so we were getting unusually high PPM. After emailing back and forth with Apec tech service but still confused I decided to find help here and your video was the most helpful. I corrected all by myself with your help. Thank you so much for saving our marriage! 🤣

I can't thank you enough for helping me out. I had forgotten to take pics before removing and replacing the filters. I totally appreciate that you walked me through the direction flow and where each little pipe went. This video was a lifesaver. And you and your wife are hilarious. Making it fun to watch and "rewatch" (to get any info I missed). Thanks and keep making more videos.

Great video. I have an ispring 2 stage system sediment and carbon. Still sometimes get a burst of sediment when I turn on faucet, think my hot water tank needs flushed because I did not install system until a year later. Maybe one of these days do one on flushing your hot water tank which I hear should be done every year even if you have a filter system. That way you do all the work and I just follow along when I do mine..Ha ha!..keep up the good work!

I've had my kitchen like that for a couple weeks now as we figure this process out on our own! 2 days to get wrench # 1 & find out it's the wrong size. Several more days to get wrench# 2. A few more days for filters to arrive. Now we realize it's time to sanitize the system and the buildup in the sumps need some scrubbing to get clean. And after watching this video, I now want o rings too and I'm sure I'll probably get the wrong size the first time. I am also now concerned because I don't think we have that black drain line on ours...unfortunately, if there is any possible shortcut that would've saved our landlord 5 cents, you can guarantee he did it! Ugh, they REALLY want us to call a water treatment pro to do this whole process, that's for sure. Can't even find a manual for our system anywhere on the world wide web! It's crazy!

Good luck! A lot of these work similarly, so some manuals from other brands may also help give some clues.

Whats the difference between the 50 75 or 100 roes system?

To be honest, I have never been able to find a good comparison chart that really shows the differences in a well thought out comparison chart. But as I understand it, the biggest difference is plumbing sizes and how long the filters last. ROES, as I understand it, is simply an Acronym for Reverse Osmosis Essence Series. So it simply refers to the model of filter they sell. I did find one comment, from Apec Systems themselves, that stated the following: "Aside from the Gallons Per Day difference between the two systems. RO-90 is equipped with Premium US Made high capacity filters that would last for more than 1 year before changing the pre-filters. On the other hand the pre-filter on the ROES-50 usually last around 9 to 12 months before replacement. The RO-90 is also equipped with John Guest Quick Connect Fittings that allows easy filter change out and connection of the tubings compare to the ROES-50 which is equipped JACO Fittings. Both systems are built in the United States in our facility located in California and both are the best systems in their respective price range." So it sounds like the core functionality on the Essence series is the same. But the different models give you longer lasting times between filter changes, faster connection methods and possibly more gallons per minute flow rate. I will try to do some more digging to see fi I can find a better answer. But for now, that is what I know.

Question. Do you have to fill the tank and drain it after the install of the stage 4 membrane or can you change all 6 filters then fill and drain the tank once or twice before drinking. Because if so you have to wait 2-3 hours before finishing the entire job. Not really specific on the directions

We have always just replaced all of our filters at one time and then performed the flush. I think the problem is that the instructions that come with the kit are worded for the situation where you are replacing them each individually at different months. I think that causes a lot of confusion because it makes it look like you need a flush after each filter when, in my opinion, you do not need to if you are replacing them all at once. The stage 4 filter itself is just a semi-permeable membrane so it doesn't really leech things out during its first use. At least not to the level that the carbon filter and mineral block does. Small bits of carbon and minerals always come out in that first flush.
