2002 Buick LeSabre
2003 Buick LeSabre
2004 Buick LeSabre

Even though he got the job done like others have said there is an easier way for sure. Remove the panel under the glove box and remove the actual fan out of the housing. I bought the whole assembly but after fighting with the screws in the assembly i just removed the fan out of the assembly. swapped over the L hose to the new fan. reinstalled it. It helps to have a 3rd hand and my kid came in hands

I think 2002 - 2005 have a drop out blower motor and the 2000 -2001 have the motor shroud assembly that's shown in this video. I have a 2000 custom that is like this video.

In a 2003 Buick Lesabre Custom the motor is silver not a black plastic cover so don’t remove the 5 or 6 screws just remove the 3 brass ones on the silver motor and it comes out easy I don’t even think I would’ve had to remove the carpet and the plastic door plate.

For the 2000 LeSabre OEM replacement, orient the blower motor assembly with the electrical connector for the motor facing the passenger side of the car. Insert the fan portion into the duct. Rotate the assembly about 90 deg so that the electrical connector is facing the rear of the vehicle. Push the assembly upward and insert screws.. Applying soapy water to the perimeter of the blower motor assembly and the rubber mat on the floor pan eases insertion. Also helpful, using a big, long screwdriver to push down the rubber mat while rotating and inserting the assembly.

You don't need to disconnect the negative on the battery your not really dealing with live wire contact

There are some people saying these steps are incorrect...they are definitely correct IF you have an OEM blower. If it's aftermarket already then you don't need to do all these steps.

Great video, I will intend to do it in my 2002 buick lesabre, if it doesn't work, then I will take it to my mechanic. I wonder what safe tool can I use instead of the plastic pry tool that you have, probably screwdriver.

Just what I was looking. Air or heat coming out of vents. Ordered new blend actuators for both sides. Fan comes on but sounds horrible

On a 2004 Le sabre your not near the carpet and there is no spinning because there are plastic tabs in the holes next to the screws. This was tough wish I would have just bought the motor and drop it with 3 screws if you don't need a new plastic cover.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MOTOR BLOWER MAYBE DIFFERENT! IF THE MOTOR YOU HAVE IS DIFFERNT FROM THE ONE IN THE VIDEO, ONLY TAKE OUT THE MOTOR BLOWER!! DO NOT TAKE OUT THR WHOLE THING!! I HAVE SPENT SO MANY HOURS GETTING THIS WHOLE THING TO GET IN AND ALIGN (still haven't gotten it done). The editor needs to adjust something if this isn't the first comment to say only take the motor blower out. Mine didn't NOT look like the one in the video.

Then it's possible you were given the wrong blower motor. Those things do happen speaking from experience as an auto tech.

He makes it look easy. IT IS NOT!! I just finished my car putting this in. A tip, for the readers is, my hands and fingers are too fat to put the screws back in, put your screw back in the socket of your tool and use electrical tape to keep it in the socket, then you can screw it back in the hole without losing the screw.

TRQ you should sell the two part style instead. It is SO MUCH easier to install. The motor unbolts from the housing. It took me 5 minutes to install the new fan, until the OEM style the was clearly repaired friendly.
