I just replaced mine on Ford Fiesta Zedec. £5 from Halfords. Very easy but after I replace it I realized it was only the fuse. All I needed to do is to change the fuse and not the whole cigarette lighter.

I'm no expert but I find it best to try and rip it off with your hands, this let's you know how much resistance its putting up so you can be careful with bits. Usually the clips will just pop out without much hassle tho, just check for screws on the of chance.
Just bought a new car and got the same replacement, but dont have that orange plug! Previous lighter was smaller prongs so had a white plug to connect the wires, does anyone know what the orange one is called? Its impossible😂
Yeah you just popped the fuse probably. I did the same with a 5 pence piece. On my 12 plate Fiesta I found that my fuse was behind the glove box and was a little yellow 20A Blade fuse. Can't remember if it was a mini blade or micro blade
Not a cigarette lighter, that is only for a USB/power port, I have spent hours trying to find how to replace this USB port with an actual cigarette lighter..no luck.
