Thank you brother for your tips and removal information. You are right about not finding any videos out there that show the procedure for this type vintage casement window. I needed to know what stays, what to cut etc. My only advice for others that find your video is to check level and a measurement on the diagonal for square before attaching screws. good job ! you are right, no other videos covering casement windows! i recommend backer rod for foam insulation, paintable silicone as an exterior sealer and chisel to remove glazing . thanks for this ground breaking video !

Great video but I think I will use a reciprocating saw with a metal blade. Those cutting wheels can be pretty dangerous

Great video but I would of cut the z bar to fit in the old casement for better water proofing If you noticed the front of the stucco and the old window casement is about 3/4 of an inch deep witch means you would have to apply an enormous amount of caulking for the back bead if the z bar is cut it would fit in the old frame with less caulking and better water proofing you can paint the old frame later maybe the color of the house
