My BRP mechanic said my belt was installed backwards which was causing it to wear out to fast and start slipping. Is this true?

On the Can-Am Defender models, yes.

Hey There, Thanks for watching! The XMR Defender does not have a CVT Filter because of the snorkels.

I'd mention the break-in period after the new belt is installed.
