Thank you for this guide it certainly helped me on the right path. One thing to note with a 2011 D40 Navara as this is known in Australia there's a slight difference. You do not (cannot) remove the Door Arm Rest as shown in this video, it is integrated with the whole door covering. Once you undo the 2 screws under the Door handle and under the Switch Bezel as shown you can pop all the Door Trim panel pins around and lift up. Just be careful that behind the arm rest area is a slot a plastic retaining lug slides into.. be sure to lift up, not pull the door forward.... Thank you again, this allowed me to test and find that my front door speaker was OC and dead for sure, I've already ordered some Pioneer replacements (nothing too flash :) and cable adapters to suit. )

Thank you, this was the only guide that was decent enough to follow that I could find on RU-vid and even with the slight differences between our models it was enough to give me the confidence to dive in and give it a go.. (I know this sounds silly to people that do car stuff all the time, but cars have never been my thing and I dont want to break stuff)

Thanks for this detailed walkthrough. Just replaced my stock speakers with some infinity’s. Only thing is the new ones are a bit bigger so the screws didn’t lineup in the plastic housing as well as with the stock ones. They’re tight in there tho!

i have some ds18 6.5 bullet door speakers and i ordered a wire harness off of amazon that is compatible with the frontier and they look the same as those but the metal thing on the speaker that you plug it into is a different size and they don’t fit. Please help

You may need to order a spade connector kit (amzn.to/4aKYpGK) or run to your local auto parts store (or Walmart) to obtain the correct size. Once you verify it fits, cut the connector off that doesn't fit and crimp the new (correct) one.

The speakers in the video work pretty well; I just needed replacements. According to Crutchfield, it looks like the 2006 Frontier speakers are similar. Double check just to make sure.

My 2017 has tweeters on the front. I see you used a 4 way speaker. Do you have tweeters as well and if so did it sound fine having tweeters in two spots?

Hello Kaeouto, my Frontier is not equipped with in-dash tweeters (it's the bare bones model).

I'm not sure what the configuration for the NP300 is setup as. Hopefully, someone can chime to help determine the root cause.

@@ELEVOPR so the 2022 np300 4x4 diesel. Doesnt have speakers in the back doors. They have from door and tweeters. We use the wiring for the tweeters and ran them to the back doors

Wow Roll down windows, Haven't seen them since I was a kid. Today those things can get you killed. Imagine being pulled over by police and the officer asks you to lower your window, it's dark you reach down for the window handle and strat cracking it a 😳 then all you see is a flash bang in your face. 🤦‍♂️ New cops don't even know roll down windows were a real thing 😂 Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Rattle in the door from the loose connector? Good idea to cover connector in foam and wrap with tape....no chance of a rattle.
