@@adammetzger4182 Every car has a timing belt( timing chain) wich is internal. The serpentine belt is on the outside turning the alternator, water pump, a/c compressors, power stearing.
Hey, thanks guys! I’m overdue for new belts, and this really showed me how to get it done and save me money instead of going to a dealership. I’m looking to get them done sometime soon.
Excellent. Thank you. I have the 2015 Ford Escape 2.5L. Worked perfectly. I used the Lisle 59370 Stretch Belt Remover which has a magnet to help hold it onto the flywheel. Also, make sure you have one of those button remover tools!!! I thought I could do it without one, but had to go out and get one mid-project.
