This video will show you how to replace the front shocks on GM classic cars. In this video we are using a 1970 Chevelle. Most GM cars use the standard one nut, washer, and rubber to connect the shock to the top control arm (a-frame) and 2 bolts on the bottom control arm (a-frame).
Many other car manufactures use the same setup.

Nice job Dave...thanks for doing another vid on the Chevelle...doing some simple minor repairs yourself can save ya big money and having the pride in knowing you did it yourself.

The more little jobs you do, the more confidence you get to do other things.

Working on a full ground-up restoration on my 71 Chevelle. Frame is powdercoated, rear end rebuilt. Currently working on front end rebuild. This is by far the best video I have seen so far. Awesome! Thanks.

I'm about the change the front and rear shocks on the 58 Bel Air. I've done all the other mechanical work so far and your video gave me confidence to change my shocks and save $100s of dollars. Thanks!!

Did you use the original a/c condenser for your ac? How much of the the factory components did you use to get the a/c going?
@davidlis6709

Yes. I used everything except for the small canister with the glass site window, I had to add more R12 after 5 years so that is not bad. I am having a hard time getting R12.

I had to buy 15 inch rally wheels and tires after I installed the disc brakes. P225/70R15 100T I like the high profile tires because it sit a little higher and a little softer ride. I do not like the low profile tires. Just me

I had a 70 Monte Carlo in college, same colors as my Chevelle. I loved that car. I upgraded to a 1974 and that was junk. Bad move for me.
