I'm watching this because I snapped the volume ribbon while changing a battery. The plastic scraper was wedged under the peeling battery and no clue there was a delicate ribbon lying right in its path.
The flex cable i i ordered is not attached to the wireless pad. Is it possible i just separate the the volume flex cable and the wireless charging pad.
Hey i dont know the Reparation worked well for me but i try to start my Phone now and its Not starting anymore i put all Flexes on and off and its still Not working any idea what this Could be?
It could be anything from board damage to damaged flex. I’d start with disconnecting everything that isn’t absolutely necessary. So basically plug in the charge port, screen and battery. Plug in to power to initiate powering on. If it’s still not turning on you might have damaged the board
I changed the battery on the 11 pro and tore the flex for buttons on the left side. I will order flex from AliExpress, but it is without wireless charging, is that a problem? and how hard is it to just replace the flex without the buttons because I'm not sure how to just put the old silent button on the new flex?
Ideally buy it with the wireless coil attached, it’s possible to de solder and resolder from phone flex to the other. But it’s way easier to just buy the flex that has everything already on it The mute switch is kind of a pain. I made a video specifically about how to transfer it
I repalced my battery on my iphone 11 pro and now the volume up does not work. Ribbon cable seem fine no tears. I heated the base and lifted the battery out working top to bottom. So how did this happed? No prying tools were anywhere near the ribbon.
the 11 pro and pro max have this stupid design where the wireless coil/volume flex connects to the charge port, immediately next to the battery connector. id start with making sure you didn't accidentally disconnect that flex, or to disconnect and reconnect it
Hi, so i severed the volume flex cable and mobilesentrix only sells the flex cable and not the one thats connected to the wireless coil, will it still work? I just want my volume buttons to work, i dont mind about the wireless charging
i mean that black circle part with the flex you removed, a part of that was removed when i changed my battery lol it was on the sticker of my old battery!! will it effect the battery of my phone? HELP
I tried this method @15:22 but I when I put the back plate back on and tighten at the end, the volume buttons do not protrude out. The mute switch works though. Any idea where I’m going wrong?
Currently watching your video because someone who refurbishes phones for a living couldn’t take the time to purchase proper battery adhesive and placed a whole 1 inch by 1/4inch strip of some sort of tape adhesive right on top of that ribbon cable……… fast forward my son knocks friends phone out of his friends hand, battery dislodges “surprise surprise” and rips said cable in half and now I’m replacing a wireless charging cable and battery…..
Luckily Ive had much experience opening iPhones and I can do the work myself but man I was really really aggitated sitting all the surface area of this battery that the wrong adhesive could have been used on but the person chose to put the tiniest piece nice and neatly across the ribbon cable. It was only a matter of time…….
