My new to me, 09 300 XC W is having starter issues. I have replaced the starter and done everything you have. This is a helpful video and the Bendix and gaskets are next. Was working fine until I found out the hard way how much water I can take my bike into.
The slavens wet mod involves sealing the lower drain with silicon, adding a vent hose in the wiring grommet and putting a cupla hundred ml of atf or fork oil..keeps it all lubed nicely...
Is the crown wheel the one attached to the other end of the Bendix? My 2014 300 will engage the gear but won't turn over. New starter and battery too.. so it's the bushings and Bendix. But I'll need the upgraded version
