Learn How to replace a Porsche Cayenne battery following this video.
Tools needed are a 10mm wrench, 10mm metric socket and driver, 10mm 12 point spline bit and driver, T25 torx bit.
This job is about 20 min to complete.

To keep the program alive…attach a power to the positive cable like jumper box…and won’t or shouldn’t loose programs……( I have one of those you hook to battery to jumpstart the car…keep it on positive)

What about the Computer codes….unplugging the battery you need to reset all the sensors etc…correct.??

Do you need to register the battery in the cars ECM so it charges correctly?

It often depends on the year, but typically if you install a battery that's different in any parameter than the OEM, you need to get that new battery programmed in so that the ECU knows how to handle it better.

No, Just open your hood and on the driver's side there's a plastic access panel that's part of the engine dress-cover, closer to the windshield (it has raised graphics on it, showing the + / - signs). The Postive pin (red/positive) is closest to the windshield and the Negative (black) pin is closer to the front of the car. Follow proper steps for jumpstarting.

Hi, Dear. I have a 2003 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. I was told this Porsche might have two batteries: one under the driver's seat and another in the trunk. Is this true? Thank you in advance.
