the only video that shows attaching outer buttons for samsung devices ,rest just popped up the back case and started doing surgery to the phone to replace the motherboard. Thank God the video is plain and simple and straight to point.
Had a dint in the edge of the phone that jammed the power button. Thought I had to take the phone in to get professionally stripped that would have been expensive. I watched your video and managed to pick out the button. I filed the inner of slot and replaced the button and it works fine now. Thank you for posting it
I have the same problem as ya, dropped it and it bent in right where the power button is. Managed to take out the stuck button with nail clippers but have yet to file the inner slot since my new power buttons r still on the way. Just wanted to say thanks for posting this method tho! =)
I somehow dented my phone right by the power button and the power button was stuck pushed in. I carefully dug the silver button out with a razor blade (which scratched up my phone a little, but I'd rather have a scratched phone that works instead of a unscratched phone with a broken button. I used a fingernail file on the button and on the phone and then put the button back in. It's not perfect because I couldn't file the inside of the phone very good, but it works now! Thanks for this video.
thanks dude!! fixed my note10 plus buttons. bought my phone to samsung service center INDONESIA to fix and they told me i have to replace the whole LCD panel just because of this!!! And yes, if some you guys reading my comment works there, the level of incompetence they have is just jaw dropping!!! SHAME on them
Quick note - If you just put it in without looking, you have a 50/50 shot of getting it stuck and not powering off or on as I found out. I popped the button out as described in video, switched it to the other side and then it was able to work as normal (off and on)
@@MarcelolGT 3 years ago so I don't even remember which side is correct so I'd advise take a good look at the button before placing it in to what looks to you would work
Thankyou for this video dude..I'm relieved to see this is a very easy fix..this was bothering me for a while my phone works fine and the button still functions..but if my finger touches it sometimes it sits lopsided and if messed with enough it's almost falling out.
I changed it, but ive noticed the the button ive bought is kinda more slim than the original. It does works, but its loose. I can use it as it is right now since i use a case and it prevents it from falling. The thing is, i've looked everywhere and everyone says the same buttons fit all the variations. There's a catch to it or something?
Use the little metal thing that you got with your phone to open up the SD slot :-) that's what this dude used. Sorry if you already figured that out, but.. yeah.
Este metodo me sirvio para cambiar mi boton del samsung galaxy S7edge modelo SM-G 935V de verizon es totalmente compatible digo, para mi me sirvio, tengan excelente dia
I'm almost positive the home button would require you to open up the phone, as it has a chord attachment that is supposed to be attached internally to the motherboard i think. My issue is i can't find this stupid power button available for the regular S7 and everyone keeps saying it's not the same button for the S7edge. I don't have an edge. I'm getting so irritated bc i would like to fix that minor issue before I sell it.
Thank u for actually showing how to fix it instead of giving me alternatives to using the button lol I was about to lose my mind if I fell for another clickbait title that starts the video with "go to settings on your phone and turn on x feature to double tap to turn it on and off" like thank u for the advice but bitch??? That was not the question.
My S7 Edge had the power button stucked by a fall in concrete. The button stucked pressed because the metal frame was smashed. I did what the video says and the button popped out!
My button is still in there but it’s gone flat, so I can’t turn it on, anyone know a way I can break off the silver button then replace it without specially disassembling the whole thing?
