How to Replace Ryobi Weed Eater String | Full Crank 2 Cycle Model | Rapid Reload Technique

Ill be danged. I was doing it the old fashion way. I was looking for a video to show my mom how to do it herself and learned something. I don't own a ryobi but my mom does. Thank god for this video. She is an hour and a half away

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ru-vid.comUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself.Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

Man, I appreciate this video more than you would know. Bought a new weedeater for the house that we also just bought and first time the ‘store’ string ran out was just before dark. I know this is a 4 year old video, but I would like to say thank you anyhow for posting it. I never knew you could roll the cord like that while it's still inside the head. Before seeing this, I always pulled the spool out and had to fight with the 2 sides getting knotted up while trying to refill it. Maybe if I took the time to read the original instructions I would have learned this 10 years ago. But, meh, who does that!? Well done! Thank you sir!

Some models come with a separate crank that you just fit over the end and start turning.. Makes winding it up much faster. Very helpful video.. Thanks!

Thanks for your video! I couldn't figure out why I was unable to thread the new line through. After I opened up the line case, I found that the old line was still in there and very tightly wound. So I found it is best to use a small reasonable amount of line, like maybe a 36 inches worth, so that it doesn't tighten itself in the case.
