Just changed mine after watching this video. You made it so clear that I had no issue getting it done. Much appreciated!

Thank you for the video. You saved me $400 the dealer wanted. I found that by cranking the steering all the way to one side I was able to do it without raising the car or removing the wheel.

A Jeep dealer wanted $500 for both sides to be replaced. How absurd. Thanks for this video.

I'm going to be doing this in a few days -- im getting MOOG k750795 // I have read on numerous forums- tighten till snug while its up off the tires- then after you got tires back and its on the ground re-tighten -- then after a few days of driving it and letting things settle- tighten once again
@vanstromi7810
@vanstromi7810 16 дней назад
I’ll add that you should just put the t30 or t40 on a drill or impact and switch it to tighten mode. Then hold a regular wrench on the nut. Use the close end of the wrench if you have one

My wife's 2016 renny needs the left front done , ill be doing it tomorrow , I think the trick with the new one not lining up is you need to jack it up a bit higher under the strut and it will help next time just so you don't have to force it in and potentially damage the new link ...great 👍 video thanks for your help

I did replaced mine today. Its definitely a pain in the a** using a regular wrench. Theres very little wiggle room in the bottom screw

Also. I learned through fellow renegade owners on FB. The MOOG. Is 1/4” longer than the stock ones. That’s why it shows as incompatible on Amazon. Can’t beat $16 each on Amazon. Same ones are $50 each at the auto stores.
@vanstromi7810
@vanstromi7810 16 дней назад
Did they work? The ones I found on Moog’s website listed some that work. I think they were listed on Amazon as the Jeep Compass links

I've had my 2017 Renegade for 2 years. The seat bar links were faulty when I purchased and I got them done under warranty. Now 2 years later they're being replaced again. Is that normal?
@603Mechanicvids
@603Mechanicvids Год назад
2 years seems to soon to me but depending on the road conditions you have to drive on that will make a big difference on how long they last. I would recommend finding a better quality part then the oem ones

The dealer just charged me over $450.00 to do this. They stated they had to remove the whole bumper in order to replace the right-side sway bar link only. Does the bumper have to be removed to replace the sway bar link?

@vanstromi7810

There’s too many parts in the steering and suspension to tell you what it is off a noise.
@colestrekal2609
@colestrekal2609 Год назад
What about the rear links? Everything seems stable. Although I don't have a jack to relieve tension off of the suspension. I was told it was my left strut, causing a clunk over small bumps. Even though the sound is coming from the right. Is it a link or a strut problem?
@603Mechanicvids
@603Mechanicvids Год назад
I'll have to make a video on the rears asap. its hard to say over the internet, I would find a jack so you can check both of them out. I'd check both sides as well

@vanstromi7810

They just wear out and they’re cheap plastic. Imo the plastic allows more movement and that wears the joints faster. Just a theory

It very well could be but it could also be another part of your suspension. anyway you could have someone turn the wheel while you look underneath to find where its coming from
