A utility knife with a brand new blade makes for a much cleaner job when doing the cabin air filter. Just be careful and go slow. 4-5 slow cuts is all that's needed to get through the plastic cleanly.
Even with the dash repair, I'd be hesitant to snap that panel in with clips. I'm going to remove the clips and will let gravity keep it in place. I've repaired the original panel several times now and it's been in place without clips for years with no rattling or other issues.
You did an amazing video. However, I am a woman so how am.I supposed to change it myself. Is there an easy way to change it instead of making the cut. I don't get it why!!! Nice video though.
For that third, almost impossible to reach screw that covers the hvac box...It's not meant to be removed. The panel has a larger hold where that screw goes so you can just pop the panel off the screw and pop it back in over the screw.
