Taking the 4 seat screws off and pop the seat off, gives full and easy access to the batteries 😁 Reading the forums it seems its always worth changing both batteries although the smaller one is considerably more expensive,as apparently runs electrics, tail lift etc

My 2012 model Ford Transit with lift had two identical 72AH 700A batteries. I replaced them with two AGM 95Ah 850A batteries that was 2cm taller and 2cm longer, it was a tight fit to say it mildly. On a British car with the battery under passenger seat I have seen a guy put in two 105Ah 1000A batteries as there is much more room.

Never seen so much effort to remove a battery.

We used 3 hours 30 min to replace the two batteries in my 2012 Ford Transit because we also had to remove the drivers seat completely with the cables for the heated seats. It also took longer because we installed to 95Ah 850A AGM batteries that did not really fit because 2 cm to high and wide.

I just replaced the original batteries with two 95Ah 850A AGM batteries, they was 17,5cm x 35,4cm x 19cm. 2cm to tall and 2cm to wide but we managed to cram it in there... But we removed the drivers seat or else you could not have fit that larger battery in.

I agree with Jack , what looked like it would be so helpful is actually not very helpful at all. The nuts and bolts for the clamp are really well hidden. Also would be helpful to know if/why you have to change both batteries?

I got a 2010 transit connect and I'm only finding the battery under the hood. That's it right. I read some have them under the driver seat

Yes, the Transit Connect has the battery in the engine compartment.
