What if the replacement filter didn't come with lock tabs? Does it have to have them?

My 2019 Santa Fe air filter doesn’t have the locks. Should I just pull the air filter out?

Thanks! Question regarding my 2019 Hyundai SF Ultimate engine air filter replacement. Does it have to have locks/tabs on filter? Mine is the same type in your video. Can't seem to find a filter with the locks. Took my old air filter with the locks in to the auto parts store and was told the ones they carry don't have them and I don't need them. Is this accurate?
