How to replace the lock in a UPVC door 

To get the cylinder out after removing the holding screw from the front, you need to turn the key 45’ to one side…. and pull it. Could be to the left or right.

Hi, Great video. Anyone know if there is a setting for automatic lock. My son slammed the door ...and now the outside handle wont activate the catch part of the lock. Any ideas..thanks

did not actually show how to connect the lock to the mechanisam

Sorry but this is many times more involved and complicated than the method shown in other vids. If you have to Dremil out the gap for the lock that’s an expensive tool that not many people normally have lying around . I’ve got one but I’ve no idea how I’d use it for that job. Why remove the rail at all why not just cang3 the handles and spindle?
