These Record vacs are a dream for repairability. Thnx for showing the avg joe how they can be fixed. Simple design, two low cost vac motors in parallel put in a metal can - luv it.

Thanks for the vid - really helpful. My Camvac has just started tripping the main RCD (earth leak) so I now know I can dismantle and look for possible shorts, or maybe even fit new motor if that’s the issue.

What is the model number of the replacement motor?

Is the failure of motors due to overheating? A suggestion to manufacturer is liquid cooling with a TIG welding cooler. Either in motor or a jacket that can be applied to motor. Hours long use with CNC is going to be a big requirement.

Hours long use for serious cnc should use industrial grade setup with suitable service factor ratings rather than consumer (occasional use) equipment.
