This really worries me I cannot understand how you get so few likes on your channel. And I think it is one of the best for the average DIY person. Its good work very helpful and sometimes quite funny. All the best and please keep going.

@TheDutchGarage
@TheDutchGarage 5 лет назад
Hi! I don't think that is necessary, I do think there is enough room to remove the gearbox without doing that.

When installing the bearing, does it stop where necessary for you to tighten it? As in does it keep sliding down the shock or will it just stop?
@TheDutchGarage
@TheDutchGarage 4 года назад
It rests on the shoulder of the shaft. Then just tighten it.

can you spin the bearing after you tighten the nut on the shaft? or do you need to position the bearing before tighten it so it fits in its place on the car with the bottom bearing?
@TheDutchGarage
@TheDutchGarage 4 года назад
The best thing to do is put the car on the ground and then tighten the bodem bolt.

Hi, my shocks look old and one of them has oil all over them which I assume isn't normal. There is also a knocking sound coming from the wheel with the oily shock. Do you think that bad shock is causing the banging sound? Thanks
@TheDutchGarage
@TheDutchGarage 4 года назад
Hi there, that's I think a good guess. If there is no pressure in the shocks the parts are just rattling around. But then again it can also be a drop link, top mount or ball-joint. But I think the shock is a good place to start.

Hello there! I have a question. I need to change my rear shock absorbers. I opted for a kyb ultra. But my big question is: does kyb supply also the lower axle screws with the shock absorbers? If not, where I can get those? And thanks, with your videos I've done a lot of things on a lot of cars in my family. Keep up with the great videos!! :D
@TheDutchGarage

Most come without bolts, sometimes you can get them in the aftermarket or else contact the dealer.

@@cromazalex you definitely need new bolt as my bottom bolt came off ok but didn't got back on as it got stripped so now waiting for a new one to come in the post so have to take all tyre off again only if I new this before would of ordered one but it be even better if these sellers supplied all new bolts with the new rear shocks
