A few months back, I replaced the blades on my riding lawn mower and discovered that one of the mounting points was badly worn. The blade could barely be attached. I decided I needed to replace it since I was also getting an unusual amount of vibration coming from the blade deck, most likely from bad bearings in the idler pulley. I bought brand new spindles, pulleys, and a belt to replace all of the most important pieces of the blade deck. This was a pretty easy maintenance project to do on the riding mower and all for about $100.
