Hello! I have a july 2023 model, with the same headlights but I would like to change to the adaptive led ones. Do I just simply replace them, or do I need some special cameras in the top mount, or any software?
My knowledge is that ....Yes, it is possible to upgrade the headlights in a Volkswagen Tiguan to adaptive LED lights, BUT adaptive headlights often rely on sensors that detect steering angles, vehicle speed, and other inputs to adjust the light beam. If your Tiguan doesn't already have these sensors or the wiring required, they may need to be installed. Also....after installing the hardware, your vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU) may need to be coded to recognize the new headlights and activate their adaptive functions. This may require specialized diagnostic tools. Best bet, ring a Volkswagen dealer or a specialized auto workshop asking to talk to a technician in service area/garage. If you get someone who has been around long enough, they'll have come across the issue and question before. Hope this helps please do like the video and subscribe as really helps us.
