How to replace windshield wipers on your car easily. The simple steps to changing your costco goodyear wiper blades without the confusing instructions. These blades can be a pain to install if you are following the instructions they give you and all the extra parts that come with the blades. The easiest way to change your blades is by watching this video because I make it simple and get straight to the point with what you need to do and how to do it. There are many wiper blades out there but I have found the costco goodyear blades can be more confusing as to how to install them. I cut out the crap and get straight to the installation information you need.

These Goodyears are a major pain. Why make something you must disassemble and then re-snap together? No instructions offered to tell anyone this either. Do they then come off? Or do you need to rip them off like you need to pull the snap-in piece out to put them on? BAAAAAD design. But good video.

Windshield wiper tutorials are a strange thing - you'd think it might be pretty straightforward, but there are so many variations that lots of people will leave dislikes on tutorial videos simply because (I imagine) they realized some tutorial didn't have exactly what they were using. For me, personally, this video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Leaving this comment here also to "bookmark it"

If you put the adapter on the blade first, then slide into the J channel, it's way easier than what you were doing. (In your case, all you had to do was slide it into the J channel. The adapter you needed was already on the blade. The instructions are VERY helpful if you're not using the pre-installed adapter.)

I did it that way but yes there are of course other ways to do it including leaving the connector on the blade and easily sliding it on thanks for the response👌

Another tip.................... I always put a roll of paper towel on the windshield when changing wipers because if you accidentally hit the wiper arm and it hits the windshield you can crack your window.

Great tip as why not to buy these Goodyear wiper blades. I use Areo beam blades so easy to install.

It seems to me the ones you took off are simpler than the ones you are putting on. However I have the simple tab type on my car which I can't seem to remove, which is why I am watching videos. I can flip up the tab but the hook just doesn't come out that easy.

Depending on the vehicle you have taking the wipers off and putting the new wipers on are the biggest pain in the rear. I know the wiper blades you are speaking of and having done them many times they are not that difficult, however, with the proper leverage and pulling them the right way you can remove them and or install them quite easily.

Are they installed on your vehicle? If so, then they do have a latch. If you don't you will need to get new ones

the way I learned to do it I remove it and makes it easier. it's based on your learning style whether you wish to remove it or not

Daily Driver thanks for reply bud. Mine were different to point I just went into auto parts store and they got it done for me but even that was a struggle for them as well. I’ll try not to get those wiper blades again but they are common for Toyota supposedly

@@JudgeSikhs I mean there are different types of blades and attachments so they go on differently. generally older car wiper blades are harder to take off because they get rusty and stuck on. also can be more difficult to put on

NEVER leave the metal naked wiper to stand up unattended ! it takes the slightest breeze for it to retract and its enough force to crack your windshield ! i recommend putting a micro fibre towel down on point of contact just incase it were to close quickly.

Actually, you did it the hard way since you didn’t read the instructions. You just need to hook the wiper on without removing any parts. Easy peasy.
